Cookie Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026. Version 1.0.
This policy explains what IRL Ventures Ltd's websites store on, or read from, your device, and how you can control it. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025) covers cookies and similar technologies such as browser storage, pixels and scripts that read device information.
1. What our sites store today
Our sites are deliberately light. We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. Here is everything that touches your device:
| Name | What it is | Purpose | How long | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| irl-plan-v2 | Browser session storage | Saves your answers in the "Plan your event" planner so they aren't lost if you refresh | Until you close the tab, or send your enquiry | No: strictly necessary for a feature you're using |
| irl-partner-v1 and irl-partner-east-v1 | Browser session storage | Saves your answers in the "Partner with IRL" planners | Until you close the tab, or send your enquiry | No: strictly necessary for a feature you're using |
| Google Fonts | Font files loaded from Google's servers. Google doesn't set cookies for this, but your browser sends Google your IP address | Displays our typeface | Not stored by us | No, but we tell you about it here |
| Web3Forms | Our form delivery service, used only when you press send | Delivers your enquiry to our inbox | No cookies set by our forms | No |
| __cf_bm and similar | Security cookies set by Cloudflare, which protects our site from bots and attacks | Keeps the site secure and working | Up to 30 minutes | No: strictly necessary |
Our sites are hosted by Replit. This may change, and we'll update this table if it does. The planners also offer to open WhatsApp. That happens on WhatsApp's own app or website, under Meta's policies.
We check what any new tool stores, and update this table, before adding it to our sites.
2. Embeds, future tools, and your choices
2.1 Embedded content
If we add embedded content, such as Instagram posts, Google Maps, YouTube videos or a Fixr or Eventbrite checkout inside our pages, the provider may set its own cookies and read device information as soon as it loads. Before we add any embed, we'll either:
- show a placeholder that only loads the content when you click it, with a short note on what the provider collects; or
- link out to the provider instead of embedding.
2.2 Analytics
We don't currently use analytics. If we add it, we will only use first-party analytics that measure how our site is used in aggregate, to improve it. Since 5 February 2026, UK law allows this without prior consent, provided we tell you about it clearly and give you a simple, free way to opt out. If we do this, we will:
- list the tool and what it stores in the table above;
- add a visible "Don't measure my visit" control on every page, which takes effect immediately; and
- not use it for advertising, profiling individuals, or sharing with third parties.
Analytics that shares data with an advertising platform, or tracks you across other sites, still needs your consent first.
2.3 Advertising and tracking pixels
We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels (such as the Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel). If we ever do, we'll ask for your consent before they load, through a banner with equally clear "Accept" and "Reject" buttons, and you'll be able to change your mind at any time from a link in our footer.
2.4 Controlling cookies and storage yourself
- Closing your browser tab clears the session storage our planners use.
- Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary storage may stop the planners from remembering your answers.
- We respect Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out for any optional tracking we may add.
2.5 Changes and contact
We'll update this policy before we change what our sites store. Questions: team@irloxford.co.uk.
